He cancelled the meeting because of recent hostility from North Korea to the United States.
After the destruction of their nuclear test site and the release of American prisoners early this month, #Trump cancelled the meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un which was going to take place in Singapore on 12 June.
Trump wrote a letter which was directed to the North Korean Leader in which he stated: "I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting"
Trump also writes in his letter: "You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.".
North Korea has not reacted yet on the letter.
