The Liverpool forward is understood to be funding a number of projects in the area. He recently paid the locals a visit to check on projects he has initiated. This happens after an impressive campaign at the just concluded African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The prolific striker guided the Lions of Teranga to a second-place finish, after losing 1-0 to Algeria in the final of the competition. Mane scored three goals through the 32nd edition of the continental showpiece as Senegal lost just two games at the tournament, both the the Desert Foxes in the group stage and the final.
However, despite suffering a heartbreak in the hands of the the Fennecs, Mane still spared some time to return home to inspect the construction of a school that he is funding. Photos of the 27-year-old inspecting the project have since surfaced online, showing the Liverpool ace in a company of locals. The former Southampton forward, who was in a jolly mood sported a white t-shirts, designer jeans pants. His selfless gesture has garnered admiration and applause from awestruck social media users.
